Ridgecrest Fence & Deck was founded in 2019 by a crew that had been building decks and fences in the Indian Wells Valley for years and recognized a gap: homeowners in Ridgecrest needed a locally-based deck contractor who actually understood desert construction - not a company driving in from Bakersfield that had never dealt with caliche soil, Mojave heat, or the city permit process here.
Ridgecrest is a specific place to build. Most homes date from the 1950s through the 1980s and sit on ground that can include hard caliche layers just below the surface. Summer temperatures push well past 100 degrees, winter nights dip below freezing, and the 2019 earthquakes reminded the whole community that structural integrity is not a detail to cut corners on. We have spent years learning what works in these conditions - and what does not.
